Over 20 years in diverse marketing and project management roles, working for both major corporations and start-ups, managing individuals, teams and markets.

I’m doing what I love most: helping people market their great ideas. My skill set has driven growth for consumer goods, recording artists, athletes, non-profits, professional consultants, health & fitness, the arts, food & beverage and events. I understand the process and have demonstrated success across a wide range of products.

At age 10, I was the first girl ever on the major league baseball team in my home town of South Orange, NJ – the local press covered it. I was a top pick for the #1 team and I’m convinced some super-power came over me at tryouts to test my ability to deal with the limelight. Next up, a baby-sitting empire at age 12 and being the 8th of 11 children, I had skills. My motivation? I wanted Levi’s, not stretchy hand-me-down pants.

In college, I was a full-time student pulling A’s while making $3k a month as a cocktail waitress in an Atlantic City casino – who needs a sorority sister?  A week after graduation, I drove alone from the Jersey shore to Newport Beach, CA in my Nissan Sentra and a gun under my seat.  Four years of beach-blanket-bingo later, I headed to LA and landed a job at MCA Records from a chance encounter with a New Yorker who “liked my east coast vibe.” It was the start of an amazing career!

The Road

8 years with MCA Records during their #1 pop label reign, as Regional Promotion Manager in 2 of the Top 10 sales markets in the country. Platinum record awards for Live, Mary J Blige, Sublime, Elton John, New Edition, Meat Loaf, Pulp Fiction soundtrack, Dangerous Minds soundtrack.

Relationships will get your project in the door, but the product must get it invited to dinner.

5 years with Left Bank Management Company as National Promotion Director, working on the 3 of the most successful artist relaunches in history: Meat Loaf, Blondie & Motley Crue.

The industry laughed at bringing Meat Loaf back and he went on to sell 6 million records. Know your audience and don’t listen to jaded people. People love Meat.

3 years with Rendezvous Entertainment as Marketing Director, record label started by award-winning saxophonist Dave Koz which garnered industry award “Label of the Year” and a Grammy nomination in its first year.

A start-up can get awards if they have great product and it doesn’t hurt when the industry adores the creator. Niceness pays off.

3 years as Marketing Manager for Entercom Radio, helping launch 105.1 The Buzz’s successful Daria & Mitch Afternoon Show, and marketing Sports Radio 1080 The Fan & Heritage station KGON to their highest ratings in history.

Go back to the roots of what made people like you.

Campaign Manager for Seventh Generation eco products in their first-ever marketing efforts in Portland, targeting new moms and green-minded consumers, resulting in extensive media coverage and targeted sales goal.

People love free stuff and they don’t want a heavy message, as green as they claim they are. Keep it light!

Creator of I Walk the Vine, a Portland-based apparel & gift line for wine enthusiasts, placed in over 50 wineries & gift shops nationally.

Great ideas can come simply from your gut, especially if you are bringing to market something different. Products that “wink” and make
people smile set a great foundation for enthusiasm.
