Liz Healy-Kay
I’ve worked over twenty-five years in diverse marketing and project management roles, with both small and large businesses. The biggest compliment I repeatedly hear is that I LISTEN, and I learn the brand voice and see the needs very quickly.
I am passionate about helping businesses reach their marketing goals and will work tirelessly until my client is happy and winning!
The Start
At age 10, I was the first girl ever on the major league baseball team in my home town of South Orange, NJ – the local press covered it. I was a top pick for the #1 team and I’m convinced some super-power came over me at tryouts to test my ability to deal with the limelight. Next up, a baby-sitting empire at age 12 and being the 8th of 11 children, I had skills. My motivation? I wanted Levi’s, not stretchy hand-me-down pants.
In college, I was a full-time student pulling A’s while making $3k a month as a cocktail waitress in an Atlantic City casino – who needs a sorority sister? A week after graduation, I drove alone from the Jersey shore to Newport Beach, CA in my Nissan Sentra and a gun under my seat. Four years of beach-blanket-bingo later, I headed to LA and landed a job at MCA Records (beating out 200 applicants) from a chance encounter with a New Yorker who “liked my east coast vibe.” It was the start of an amazing career!

A start-up can get awards if they have great product and it doesn’t hurt when the industry adores the creator. Niceness pays off.

Great ideas can come simply from your gut, especially if you are bringing to market something different. Products that “wink” and make people smile set a great foundation for enthusiasm.
