Win-Win Intern Program

I LOVE this intern program. In my former life working at companies, hiring interns was always a love-hate process. The time it took to get them self-sufficient (and actually helping me) was never time I had.  You hoped for a fast learner and tried to balance the delegated tasks so that valuable skills were honed in tandem with paper cuts and lunch runs.

Smart, smart, smart ad agency started the “Tech Apprentice” program to recruit interns. Allen & Gerritsen in Watertown, MA put their prospective interns through an application process to gauge their digital and new media saavy. Once on board, interns are tasked with keeping the agency on the cutting edge of the digital space.

Interns learn & contribute, agency gets fresh, current input – FREE!  Great model to implement.
