Benefiting Girls Inc, Portland Art Museum, Starring Dionne Warwick
This event was the 5th annual for non-profit Girls Inc, encouraging all girls to be strong, smart and bold. Thirteen local celebrities were paired with local purse designers to come up with one-of-a-kind creations to be auctioned at the gala. This year, Dionne Warwick was the special guest celebrity and her visit to Portland was the highlight of all 5 years combined.
The content was a joy to work, with so many angles to use, from the human interest side to the fashion elements to all the different “purse-o-nalities” and their respective stories. Dionne was a huge media draw but the biggest “get” on thus campaign was a full cover story in the Living section of the Oregonian which focused on the purse designers and their local match – it was the first year the paper covered the event so this made us all very happy!
